In 2019, Tom Gervase started Spartan Financial Advisors with the goal of making financial planning simple.  With the heart of a teacher, Tom and his team effectively explain the world of investments and retirement planning covering areas of risk, volatility, sequence of returns, taxes and fees.  A recent partnership with IFW will assist in Tom in making retirement planning easier to understand and implement.  Tom has been in the financial services business since 2001.  Prior to that he was in the sports marketing business for 14 years working for various fortune 500 companies.  He managed programs in auto-racing (NHRA, Trans-Am and NASCAR) and in golf with the Champions TOUR and the USGA Senior Open.  A position at Duke University brought him to the Raleigh-area in 1996.

Tom met his wife, Stephanie, in North Carolina. They live with their four children outside of Raleigh in Fuquay-Varina.  Volunteering in church and with the town’s athletic association keeps him busy.  Tom completed a telecommunication degree from Michigan State in 1986.
