Cheryl Boyles, RICP
“We don’t live for money, for money is really just our tool-the catalyst that affords us the freedom to experience the life for which we dream. Financial planning allows us to sharpen our “tool” enabling us to reach such aspirations.” -Cheryl Boyles
Cheryl Boyles has helped people create and live better lives for the last 30+ years. Whether consulting with entrepreneurs, employers/employees, or individual clients, Cheryl’s gift of uncovering the unique, inner money-perspectives of each client – combined with their history and experiences – leads her to create new strategies, new freedoms, and new possibilities for her clients so they can fund what matters most in their lives: achieving objectives, lifelong incomes, business exit strategy, financial security, charity, legacy, and fulfillment along their life’s journey.
Cheryl moved into the ranks of financial planning to stop the madness clients faced of wrong/partial advice or being “sold” on a transaction or product. After watching her father and father-in-law –a prominent business owner and the other a Cardiologist/Hematologist – experience financial setbacks due to this kind of poor guidance, and leaving upset for her mother’s financial future, she knew she needed to do her part.
Cheryl earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, her Retirement Income Certified Professional Designation, as well as completing multiple advanced courses in Tax and Financial Planning. She has worked with MetLife, Humana, Aon, and HRH Consulting and branched out to open Compass Financial Partners to bridge the gap of transactional planning to encompass an entire client’s life to ensure fulfillment of all their goals.
Cheryl is a speaker, author, educator, tax and business advisor, and wealth advocate. Her work encompasses best practices in Lifelong Income, reducing business and retirement taxation, Social Security, Income for Life, protection of assets, and financial help to those in Transition. Cheryl is the founder of Retirement Planning Center of Florida, an educational forum for those in or near retirement.
A long-time Tampa Bay resident, Cheryl enjoys time with her husband and 2 college-aged sons. Cheryl can be found volunteering with her family, relishing in dancing and HIIT exercises, studying nutrition & 20-minute gourmet meals.. Cheryl has served on the board for the Women’s Life Underwriters Confederation, as Unit Commissioner for Boy Scouts of America, as well as in various professional and charitable organizations.
