Derick Buckley started his career back in the late 1980’s on Wall Street where he worked for over 13 years. During that time he became a bond trader and VP with HSBC Bank, working and living in New York, London and Hong Kong. After the tragic events of 9/11, where he lost 17 friends, he realized any thoughts of going back to that environment or career were no longer the path he wanted to take.

In 2009, Derick learned about the Senior market, how Seniors struggle daily to understand Medicare, how many Seniors over-pay for their insurance and how retirees truly need a trusted resource to help them with their retirement goals, he got licensed to sell insurance and began his own company. Since then he has never looked back or stopped trying to find ways to help Boomers and Seniors. Derick published his first book in 2017 “How to Survive the High Cost of Retirement in NJ”. It is a collaboration between other local experts such as CPAs, Attorneys and Financial Professionals to offer tips and solutions for those nearing or already in retirement. He also has been involved with the local community through coaching youth sports, sits on the Board of Directors of the Brick Police Athletic League. He is a former Board Member of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Ocean County.  When not working, Derick enjoys times with family and friends on the golf course, his boat or in the backyard grilling.

Derick is married to his wife Kerri who is a partner in the agency and a senior Medicare agent, and they have two adult children Connor and Sydney.
