I have been working with business owners and high-net-worth families for over 30 years. I help business owners capture full value for their business when it is time to sell, whether due to retirement, permanent disability, or premature death.

I also work with employees and other executives on building retirement funds that enable a happy retirement.

In 1988 I approached leading citizens of the Longmont Colorado Community about starting a Community Foundation. Even though professionals in the formation and management of Community Foundations advised that Longmont was too small to support such an enterprise, the Foundation was successfully launched and now has over $20,000,000 in assets. I was given the Founders Award in 2011.

I also started a Foundation for St. John the Baptist School and have established fifteen donor- advised funds on behalf of clients.

I received a bachelor’s degree in history from St. John’s University, Collegeville MN, and have earned both the Chartered Life Underwriter designation and the Chartered Financial Consultant degree from the American College.

Throughout my career, I have committed myself to thinking creatively to find ways to help private enterprises prosper.

I have been active in my church and community having served on the Board of the Longmont Chamber, the Longmont Long Range Planning Commission, the St John the Baptist Parish Council and School Board, and the board of Life Choices, a northern Colorado consortium of Crisis Pregnancy Centers. I am currently serving on the volunteer staff of Contemplative Outreach.

My wife, Phyllis, and I have three children and moved to Sherman, Texas in August of 2023.
