Robert “Mike” McMichen was born and raised in East Point, Georgia, a suburb of Atlanta. He is a graduate of Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama, and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas. He began a career as a Youth Minister in Monroe, Louisiana, and thoroughly enjoyed working with young people for a number of years.

Later, as he began raising a family, he became an agent with Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance Company. In the mid-80’s, he moved to College Station, Texas, to enter private business. In 2018, Mike returned to the insurance industry as in independent insurance agent focusing primarily on helping others navigate the Medicare enrollment process.

Through this experience, Mike has met many people who were struggling with financial issues caused by the COVID pandemic and their own inadequate retirement planning. Through the Institute of Financial Wellness, Mike is now able to assist his clients reach their financial goals.
